Shawn’s education and industry qualifications reflect his commitment to excellence. He holds the prestigious CCO (Certified Crane Operator) designation and a NJ State Crane Operator license, along with OSHA 30 certification, ensuring that safety and regulatory compliance are at the forefront of his responsibilities.

Thomas is a distinguished professional with a remarkable 32 years of experience in the industry. Over the past five years, he has made invaluable contributions to GKS in his role as Safety Coordinator and Foreman, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency on the job.
Thomas’s extensive educational background includes studies at the University of Maine, Brevard Community College, and Stockton University. His commitment to professional development is evident in his impressive array of certifications and licenses, ranging from CPR, AED and First Aid to EM-385-1-1 USACE 40-HR Safety and Health, HAZWOPER, Confined Spaces, OSHA 30, and many more. His dedication to safety and best practices is a cornerstone of his role at GKS.
Beyond his professional commitments, Thomas enjoys a vibrant life outside of work. He is an avid snowboarder, an enthusiast of long-distance backpacking, and a passionate traveler who appreciates the beauty of the world. In addition, he actively serves on the Board of Directors for the Sunset Marina Condominium Complex, reflecting his commitment to community and leadership.

Project Manager / Superintendent
Bruce Floystad has been an essential member of the GKS team for 15 years, bringing 34 years of construction industry experience to his role as Project Manager. A high school graduate, Bruce furthered his education through a 4-year Pipe Fitter Apprenticeship Program and a 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship Program. His expertise is reflected in certifications like Journeyman Pipe Fitter, Journeyman Electrician, MCP, MCSE, Net+, and Microsoft A+. Outside the professional realm, Bruce cherishes his 30-year marriage and proud parenthood of two amazing kids, Joseph and Amanda. When not managing projects, he enjoys hunting, fishing, cheering at beach volleyball games, and playing pickleball—a testament to his well-rounded and balanced lifestyle. Bruce Floystad is not just a seasoned professional but a devoted family man and an enthusiast of life’s diverse experiences.
Project Manager
Christopher Fowler brings 20 years of industry experience as a licensed New Jersey Electrical Contractor to his role as an Assistant Project Manager. Chris has also been a licensed NJ Electrical Contractor since 2012. He is an active member of the Central Jersey Electrical League and is currently furthering his expertise by pursuing an NJ Electrical Inspector License.
Through various roles, including Lead Maintenance Electrician at Sherute, Electrician at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, and Journeyman at Hendrickson Electric, Chris has built a diverse skill set in commercial electrical installations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. His background includes work with generators and transfer schedules, transformers, fire alarm systems, card access systems, IP & CCTV cameras, data and phone lines, and electrical controls. Chris is proficient in conduit bending and threading, wiring diagrams, electrical code compliance. His ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and ensure compliance with safety standards makes him a reliable asset to our team.
Outside of his professional life, Chris enjoys traveling, carpentry, and photography—interests that reflect his creativity and problem-solving mindset. He enjoys spending time with his beloved wife. His dedication to continuous learning and technical excellence makes him an integral part of the team at GKS.
Payroll Coordinator/HR
Danielle brings a decade of industry experience to her role as the Payroll Coordinator/HR at GKS. She ensures GKS’s team members have availability to employee relations, performance management, training and development, diversity promotion, and leadership.
Danielle is a well-rounded professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Thomas Edison State University.
Outside of her professional commitments, Danielle enjoys a fulfilling life with her son. She is often found diving into the realm of books whether it be a classic or an adventure. Her interests also include gardening and thinking of new creative dishes she can cook and create. Similar to her passion for people is her commitment to becoming a top chef.
